Vertical Teak

For the construction of a new showroom of a high-rise condominium in Bangkok, we have designed a vertical installation using strips of teak wood.

The pattern for this installation was originally developed to be applied as architectural cladding on several areas of the high rise building.  For the showroom space, the teak installation will extend over 8.5 meters high to the ceiling.  Situated on the site of the actual high rise building, the lifespan of this showroom will last for less than 2 years. After that period, it will be demolished to make way for the construction of the condominium.

At that stage in time however, the teak wood installation itself will be dismantled and will be re-installed for display in the public lobby of the final condominium building.
