This hotel on the Kwai river is Architectkidd’s interpretation of traditional river dwellings in Western Thailand.
The western province of Kanchanaburi is a popular destination due to its mountainous terrain and forests. The rivers in particular play an important role in peoples’ lives and livelihoods.

Activities along the river reflect how people have lived with water and the changing seasons, especially during rains from June to October, when rivers swell from floodwaters.

Architectkidd was commissioned to design a hotel that considers the nature of the surroundings while providing amenities for visitors and contemporary design approach.

Initiated in 2011, this project is currently under development.
