Whether it’s due to rebuilding efforts, tourism recovery or public relations, there seems to be more attention on Thailand these past months. In May and June, several publications, including Monocle<\/a> and Dwell Asia<\/a>, made visits to Architectkidd to discuss the architecture and design scene in Bangkok.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us, it was fun to exchange ideas and and share our perspectives with different editors, writers and photographers about the state of design in Thailand. Along the way, we also discovered some great photographic work from Chris Wise and Piyawut Srisakul.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We always enjoy seeing well-designed editorial illustrations and graphics. These colorful infographics showing various facts on Thai industries are by Matt Lehman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The illustrations are part of Monocle’s “Thailand Survey 2012<\/a>“.  The issue was edited by Liv Lewitschnik and David Michon, and art directed by James Melaugh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also saw many familiar faces in the Bangok design community contributing to the survey, such as Anon Pairot<\/a>, IDIN, Department of Architecture<\/a>, Plankrich and Thinkk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luke Yeung from Architectkidd also took on Dwell’s “Detour” feature – and gave his take on places to visit in Bangkok. Take a look at Dwell Asia’s<\/a> June issue!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
